An Unbelievable Honour: Otakoï is a Finalist in The Age Good Food Guide Awards!

We are still trying to find the words. On Monday 27th, at the 45th The Age Good Food Guide Awards, we were overcome with emotion and gratitude.
We are so incredibly humbled and proud to announce that Otakoï Ukrainian Restaurant was named a Finalist for the "Critics' Pick" Award!
To receive this recognition after being open for just three months is something we never could have dreamed of. When we opened our doors, our mission was simple: to create a warm, welcoming space to share the authentic soul and hospitality of our homeland.
To know that in such a short time, the critics at The Age and Good Food have seen our vision, tasted our passion, and felt the heart of our restaurant is the most powerful validation we could ever imagine. This isn't just an honour for a restaurant; it's a beautiful recognition of our culture, our resilience, and our story.
This recognition belongs to every single person in our Otakoï family. It belongs to our incredible team - our chefs, our servers, our dumpling makers - who have poured their hearts and their incredible spirit into bringing our recipes to life every single day.
A heartfelt Дякуємо (Dyakuyemo) to The Age Good Food Guide (@goodfoodau) for this unbelievable honour. And thank you to you, our wonderful guests, for filling our new restaurant with so much life, love, and support from the moment we opened.
We are so, so proud to bring a piece of Ukraine to this incredible food city and are more energized than ever for the journey ahead.
